Iranian Navy Equipped with Advanced Torpedo

Rear Admiral Habibollah SayyariIran’s Navy commander on Saturday announced that the Navy has successfully test-fired a new type of state-of-the-art torpedo in the country's southern waters.

“The weapon will improve our maritime combat power and will be highly effective,” Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said in a press conference in Tehran on Saturday.

The commander also said that two anti-submarine helicopters, an anti-surface helicopter and a hovercraft have also been added to the Navy’s fleet.
